Catch up post!!

Facial Friday:
All over the catwalks there has been a wash of neutrals or "no make-up make-up". My personal take on this trend is to do a brown eye with a hint of white at the corners to open the eye. Here is my attempt at it



Sketch Saturday: It was sunny this saturday and so my sketch was pretty summer influenced, shorts etc. I drew quite a lot but this is the only one that made the cut. I kept getting the cut of the clothes wrong or giving the model really strangely proportioned bodies.




My Wall revamp (sunday's post):
Every month or so I rip down pictures from my wall and put up new ones (mainly from Elle)
This is my wall at the moment, I have some old ones from when I first got into fashion and bought my first EVER Elle but the majority are pretty recent.

Trend Tuesday- Lingerie Inspiration

Underwear as outerwear is becoming really common and I have to say I love it! It adds a bit of sexiness to any outfit and makes the wearer look pretty fashionable which is never a bad thing ;). It's quite reminiscent of early Madonna but depending on your take can also give a vintage or Wang feel to a look. My main love for this is bralets/ brassieres but lace and those tights with suspenders on are also ah-maazing. Obviously Gaga kickstarted this trend with her OTT outfits but they have grown up quite a lot since then.

Susie Lau does the whole suspenders look very well here, but tbh that is a bit obvious considering how well she works every other trend. I also lovelovelove Frida's new nude bralet from H&M and am extremely jealous of all the ways she can think of to wear it.

Model Monday- Abbey Lee Kershaw

23 year old model Abbey Lee is HUUUGE at the moment (read bigger than the biggest thing you can think of. Yes, bigger than an elephant). Having won the 2004 Girlfriend Model Search Abbey shot to fame in Australia, her home country but she now lives in NY where her agency Next Models is based. She is ranked 10 in the top 50 models and has done a huge number of campaigns since starting modelling. She is 5'11'' and her measurements are 34-24-35.
Extra info:
She has a tattoo inside her bottom lio that reads "truth"
She has a pet lizard
She fainted in ALexander McQueen s/s09 due to the corset and heels
Her beauty routine consists mainly of witch hazel for cleansing and toning and coconut body butter from The Body Shop to moisturise.
To keep fit she runs, dances and walks everywhere.

I love this girl she is stunning, especially in the Flora by Gucci advert, the gap in her teeth makes her soo much more likable.

New start tomorrow!

It was going to be new start today I swear but coursework deadlines got the better of me as did the camera lead so I couldn't even do a quick outfit and sketches post. I'm sure you're just as sick of me making these excuses as I am so I'm going to stop. Tomorrow is a new day and I will start updating regularly and TO THE FORMAT as per usual. Sorry I've been crap x

It's bad I know but I'm babysitting again and whilst I somehow remembered my camera so that I could take pictures of my sketches I forgot my sketching stuff! I'm losing my mind at the moment! All will resume as normal tomorrow and I'll try to add in the posts I've missed in the past couple of days. It's because I'm broke and trying to save for clothes, newquay and the rest of the summer, birthday presents and then I need general going out money! I don't know HOW I'm going to manage all of it.

I have no time tonight to do any real posts that go with the format. This is weird for me it's been nearly 2 weeks since I started this blog but I've somehow managed to blog everyday and stick to the structure so I'm feeling like a bit of a failure right now.... However I'm babysitting and my laptop is about to die so I do have a valid excuse! Today I'm going to be very lazy and just upload some of my favourite pictures that are stored on my computer...don't know most of the sources though, sorry.
